The SALA ring takes its name from the Cedrosan Saladoid period. Between 500BCE and 545CE, these symbols were found painted onto earthenware pottery on many Caribbean Islands, the pattern on the SALA ring can also be found as rock carvings, or petroglyphs, on the island of Grenada.

The Pattern on the UNSX ring can be found on ancient Petroglyphs; Rock carvings found on St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The outline of the shape utilises the symbol for ‘female’ while the inner lines utilise the symbol for ‘male’. The cross shape indicates arms and legs used as the body of a higher being.
